Remote Optometry is a multifaceted platform and professional service that provides seamless remote set-ups and professional eyecare at partnered locations. We develop advanced software and technology to enable our independent doctors of optometry to responsibly deliver ocular telehealth in Canada. We use a unique and consolidated system of remotely operated equipment, high speed teleconferencing, and proprietary software to virtually provide full comprehensive eye examinations that often go beyond the standard of care.

With complementary clinical and technical backgrounds, brothers Alexander and Ryan Jobe established Remote Optometry in an effort to advance and broaden the tools available to Canadian clinicians involved in synchronous ocular telehealth. Their overarching goal is to render optometric care readily accessible to individuals regardless of their geographic or financial circumstances, leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide eye care to patients. Remote Optometry is committed to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric care, firmly believing that geographic and economic barriers should not constrain access to eye care.

Topics included; "The tools a provider uses do not change the responsibility, liability or standards of care", and "Definitions for tele-optometry, ocular tele-health, and ocular tele-medicine".
